The bridge is located in Ban Thachompoo, Moo 4,Thapladuk sub district, Mae Ta, Lamphun province. It is located between Khun Tan Train Station and Thachompoo Train Station. The historical construction bridge, it was began in 1918 (B.E. 2461) and finished in 1920 (B.E. 2463) this bridge was to be the railway from Lampang to Chiang Mai. The White Bridge of Ban Tha Chomphu was constructed after the Khun Tan Railway Tunnel which is the route Bangkok - Chiang Mai for the train to cross through the Mae Tha river.
